This months podcast comes from co-founder DJFII who has been a dj for over 10 years playing almost every kind of dance music that has been around.

He started of with house music in the mid nineties and moved into trance, hard dance, hip hop & RNB, commercial and back round again to house.  Currently enjoy the suberb sounds of electro and dirty house, this mix reflects that with an eye to commercial tracks that have been remixed into this genre.

Now more of a promoter than anything else he still enjoys playing music the same as he did when he first started to dj with a passion that is rarely seen in such a long career in the dj business.  He now admits to feeling a bit old when clubbing but can still enjoy a good night in a club and still be able to stay right till the last tune, dancing and infecting the people around him with an energy that doesn't fade throughout the night.

This months podcast comes from our long time friend and supporter Dj Cypher, many thanks for all your help and support over the years !!!!!

Dj Cypher, first got in to the dance music scene in 1998, mainly listening to djs and various dance radio stations around the uk.

Cypher then moved into producing his own tracks using early computer software and slowly developing his many different sounds gaining knowledge on tune stucture ,driving rhythms and figuring out what made that perfect track. From there venturing out clubbing at the weekends, meeting new faces/contacts, delving into the underground dance scene as we know it and finally got the bug to dj buying his first set of decks, teaching himself, learning the art of mixing, getting that first break to show what he could do.

His appreciation of music is wide ranging from steve lawler, Asem Shama, Mauro Pictto, Tiesto and Paul Van Dyk all the way to Technoboy and Showtek.

Cypher started djing in 2003 for small events around the city of Norwich then leading to bigger events during the coming years. Gradually broadening his dj skills and tune selection to suit the needs of todays dance scene.

cypher's style of Djing is very different to most, by not only concentrating on one style, he has the ability to vary his sets depending if it is a warm up set or closing set.

2010 has been a busy year for cypher with increased bookings for promotions and events and club work and 2011 looks to be very promising indeed not only locally based but a full assualt on the wider UK dance scene. Djcypher styles include tech house, trance, psy-trance, Hard dance, Hardstyle and Techno.

The original idea we had was to bring Scouse House, Donk and the lighter side of Hard Dance to the norwich scene. As it was at the time there was alot of Hardstyle, Hard House, Bounce and Drum & Bass events going on at Media Nightclub.

We all met at the YMCA where we lived and used to practice together in our rooms, it soon became apparent that we all had an undying passion for all forms of Hard Dance and worked well together on and off the decks.  We came up with the name Hard Cheese and started putting on small events at Comfortably Numb and Bar X.  There were only three Dj's, myself (DjF2), Ian Sharman (Dj Bubblinblue) and Kevin Young (Dj Beatpresser).  DjF2 was at the time the after party resident for Media Nightclub, Beatpresser was a resident for Uber and Energy Rush and Bubblinblue was fairly new to the Norwich scene.

We had guest Dj's and a lot of fun doing this event.  This podcast is dedicated to Dj Beatpresser who sadly died a few years ago and he would have loved to see his event started up again and going from strength to strength.

I would also like to give a special thank you to Kevins family for digging out this mixtape for me and all those who have supported us throughout the years, you all know who you are.
